A Fundraising Night to Remember
Our Annual Soul Shaker Gala is a festive evening dedicated to raising funds for seniors in need of respite and long-term care, helping to bridge the gap between their needs and available resources. Guests will enjoy live entertainment, delicious food tastings, silent auctions, and more—an evening full of fun and connection. Together, we come together for a common purpose: to enhance the quality of life for our seniors in their golden years.
This year’s gala proudly presents the Cowboy Chic theme—where western flair meets elegant celebration. Each ticket includes a curated dinner, cash bar, and access to a photo booth for memorable keepsakes. Guests will gather for an evening of purpose and celebration, united by a shared mission to enhance the quality of life for seniors in their golden years.
Attendees are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the evening with stylish western-inspired attire. For added excitement, guests may enjoy a custom caricature drawing and test their grit with a ride on the mechanical bull. Yeehaw!

Inspired by Pat Nixon’s late father Hueguester “Soul Shaker” James, a Soul Shaker is a FORCE, with a passion to serve. Our hope is to bring together all the Soul Shakers of our community to host an impactful event to serve our seniors. We are sure this star-studded night will be filled with memories, fellowship, and friends, and serve as an opportunity to collaborate with philanthropic minds on how we can better serve our senior population.

With your donations, we are able to award up to $500 per month for living assistance to qualifying individuals for the Gigi's Heart Scholarship.Our Annual Soul Shaker Gala is a festive way to help us raise money to provide grants for seniors requiring respite and long-term care and help bridge the gap between their needs and available resources.

2nd Annual Soul Shaker Gala + Birthday Celebration for the late Hueguester “Soul Shaker” James
Our second annual gala was a major success. This year’s theme was Denim and Diamonds. Tickets included dinner, two drink coupons, and a 360 photo booth keepsake. This fun-filled event allowed guests to come together for a common cause: to improve the quality of life for seniors in their golden years. Guests were invited to dress in Western attire. Attendees can also recieved a custom caricature drawing and participated in a cornhole competition. There was even karaoke and a mechanical bull – Yeehaw!
Over $17,000 was raised, and after expenses, the WA1H Foundation was able to give seven $500 grants to seniors and veterans in Denton and surrounding counties.

About Us
We Are One Heart Foundation, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization specializing in long-term care management for seniors as well as senior housing. Pat T. Nixon is the president and CEO. Starting this nonprofit is personal to Pat. She was inspired to start the organization after she helped her father navigate the complexities of long-term care.
